Now that the USA is putting a total of 104% tariff on China, China is out of options. Even better, we can stop tariffs on everyone and tell them to sanction and tariff China in exchange. When we defeat China, are we allowed to make a fool of them?

Why do you imagine that “China is out of options”?

China’s economy is subject to total control by the Chinese government. You will notice that USA has, in a move that betrays total panic and total lack of foresight, suddenly removed tariffs on electronics, including microchips, phones and computers – exactly the things they wanted to stop importing from China to encourage US production. And now, China knows exactly where to pressure the USA: make those products subject to export licenses… and refuse any license to export to the USA.

USA handed a major option to China only in the past 24 hours.

China can also decide to dump all their US bonds onto the market. This will crash the USD, and make the federal budget deficit a major headache: the deficit is funded by loans, and the interest will skyrocket.

Chinese exports are in demand world-wide; they are now hard at work finding alternative markets for their goods.

And surely you can’t be old enough to be able to write, and not be old enough to realize how your bullying scheme will play out? Surely you can’t for a monent believe that even one single country will not realize that if they play along, they will be the next to be bullied? Don’t you remember how this played out on the playground? You suggest this, and no one will want to play with you, ever.

In reality, USA is out of options. They can raise tariffs again, but that will make no difference: doubling the price reduces demand by 95% or more; reducing it by half of the remaining 5% won’t actually matter. China’s leadership has been given a huge gift: USA attacked, the Chinese rally around the flag. Even the EU is talking to the Chinese now to see what can be worked out between them, with the USA left on the sidelines.
